Cookie policy
A short document, because there is little to declare. This site sets no tracking cookies at all.
In effect from 1 September 2026
01
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store and send back on later visits. Some are strictly necessary — without them a site cannot tell that you are the same person who logged in a moment ago. Others exist to measure behaviour or target advertising, and those need your consent.
This policy also covers local storage, which is a different browser mechanism used for the same kind of purpose.
02
What this website sets
Nothing, until you interact with it. The FieldNiq marketing pages you are reading now run no analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording and no social embeds. There is no cookie to accept or reject in order to read them.
Two exceptions, both a direct result of something you chose to do:
- Cookie choice — when you answer the cookie notice, we record that answer in your browser's local storage under the key "fieldniq.cookie-consent". It is what stops the notice reappearing on every page. It holds one word and never leaves your device.
- Payment — if you begin a subscription, the checkout window is provided by Razorpay, which sets its own cookies to run the payment securely and to detect fraud. These are strictly necessary for the payment to work. They are governed by Razorpay's own cookie and privacy policies, not ours.
03
What the admin panel sets
Once you sign in to the admin panel, two strictly necessary cookies are set:
- Session cookie — identifies your signed-in session so you are not asked for a password on every screen. It expires when the session ends or you sign out.
- CSRF token — a security cookie that prevents another site from submitting forms as you. It lasts for the session.
Both are essential. The panel cannot keep you signed in without them, so there is no option to refuse them and remain logged in. Neither is used to track you, and neither is shared with anyone.
04
What the mobile app uses
The app does not use cookies. It signs in with an access token held in the device's secure storage, and sends it with each request. Clearing the app's data or signing out removes it.
05
What we do not do
- We do not set advertising or retargeting cookies.
- We do not run third-party analytics on this website.
- We do not sell or share cookie data with data brokers.
- We do not use cookies to build a profile of you across other websites.
If this changes — for example if we add analytics — we will ask for consent before setting anything non-essential, and update this page first.
06
How to control cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, usually under Privacy. Every major browser also offers a private or incognito window that discards them when closed.
To reset the choice you made in our cookie notice, clear this site's data in your browser. The notice will appear again on your next visit.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the admin panel from keeping you signed in, and may stop payments completing. It has no effect on your ability to read this website.
